Preview Indians Look to Start New Winnin from seestyle's blog

Monday night the Indians offense was mi sing in action as the Cardinals took care of busine s after a rain delay in game one of the three-game set with the Tribe with a 4-0 win. Tonight the two teams will go back at it, but Mack Wilson Jersey this time the Indians will march out their ace in Corey Kluber, who comes into the game with a mark of 11-3, best in the American League. He'll go up against Carlos Martinez for the Cardinals, who stands with a record of 3-4 on the year, but a respectable 3.24 ERA. Here's a preview for tonight's 8:10pm matchup in St.Louis.Time: 8:10 p.m.Starting Pitchers: RHP Corey Kluber (11-3, 2.10) vs. RHP Carlos Martinez (3-4, 3.24)TV: SportsTime OhioOnline: MLB.TVRadio: WTAM 1100am, Indians Radio Network1. It's Kluber Day Indians starter Corey Kluber came right back after his lackluster start a week ago Friday against the Twins and dominated the White Sox to the tune of seven innings, no runs and seven strikeouts in a Tribe 12-0 whitewash of the Sox. Against the National League this season Kluber is 1-1, having pitched twice Russ Francis Jersey against the Milwaukee Brewers, losing a 3-2 decision at Miller Park and winning a home affair 3-2 on June 5th at Progre sive Field.Scroll to Continue It's the final start in June for Kluber, who this month has gone 3-1 allowing seven earned runs in 27 innings pitched.2. The Lowdown on Cards Starter Carlos Martinez After a 12-11 season in 2017, Carlos Martinez is back on the mound for the Julian Edelman Jersey Cardinals tonight, sitting with a 3-4 mark with a 3.29 ERA. He's had a rough June, as he's not thrown past the 5th inning in any of his four starts this month. In his last outing against the Brewers, Jim Plunkett Jersey he threw just four innings, allowing five runs on eight hits in an eventual Cards 11-3 lo s. In 12 starts this year he's allowed 24 runs in 66.2 innings, walking 42 batters and striking out 65. He also made headlines by over the weekend. Hopefully the Indians will make it a frightful experience tonight for him in his 13th start of the year.3. Top Three with a Rare Night Off As the top three of the order goes for the Tribe, so does the rest of the lineup, and being held in check Monday spelled doom for the Indians overall. Francisco Lindor, Michael Brantley and Jose Ramirez combined to go 1-for-9 with three walks and two K's in the 4-0 setback, numbers that are not the norm for the guys that get the offense going for the Tribe. The team as a whole struggled quite a bit against John Gant, who was too much for the Indians to handle and threw seven innings of one-hit ball. As poorly as Carlos Martinez has thrown in the month of June, it would be nice to see the top three in the Tribe order get Adrian Phillips Jersey back on track tonight in the 8:10pm start.
