Other new elements introduced in this expansion include WOTLK Gold Island Expeditions, where three players in a group take on various activities on an isolated island. You'll be competing against a team consisting of three, either controlled by AI or real players from the opposing faction to be the first to complete the task. World PvP is also changing in the near future, with Blizzard planning to remove the distinction between PvE and PvP servers.

Additionally, there will be new Allied Races, which you are able to introduce to your faction: Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren as well as Zandalari Trolls for Horde, and Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei as well as Dark Iron Dwarves for Alliance. You will also be able to unlock the possibility of playing as that race, as shown above. Doing so will allow you to begin at level 20.

We also discovered that WoW Legion's level scaling will be extended to the entire game. Blizzard also announced new information about HotS, World of Warcraft 's new hero Moira, as well as StarCraft II going free-to-play, offering players access to the game without paying a dime. World of Warcraft 's Legion expansion made a big change to the way levels were handled which allowed players to choose the order in which they'd like to conquer the zones. During an WoW session at BlizzCon, Blizzard revealed it plans to expand this to all of WoW, allowing players to have greater flexibility in how you take on the process of leveling up.

Things won't work entirely as they did in Legion since zones feature a range of levels. This means you won't be able to out-level an area you'd like to explore the entire story in, and it ensures that you don't go back into the starter zone when you reach the level limit and have to fight against your wolves. 

This will also allow you to choose the sequence in which you explore expansions. For instance that both Outland and Northrend are able to be scaled from 60-80. so you won't necessarily need to complete Burning Crusade content once you get to 58 or less. Also, all this scaling will apply to rewards and dungeons in order to let you play as you like as well as not being punished.

World of Warcraft - Battle for Azeroth Features Overview Blizzard discussed a great deal today about the new Battle for Azeroth expansion. The leveling changes won't be tied directly to that--instead they'll arrive as part of 7.3.5. 7.3.5 update. This patch will roll out on the PTR in the next few weeks.
