I really don't believe that
RuneScape Gold the participant base is particularly good at determining which material, based on merit, is great for integrity and the health of Runescape long-term. We view people vote based on self interest. Based on polling, NMZ was liked by the neighborhood but it was significant to remove. Players do not vote for any changes that make things harder for them personally but over time which becomes a drawback as content becomes easier and achievements are diluted, these are very slight but easily accumulate.
Another example is PK and PvP related changes which are voted against. People even voted against letting pures wear blessed chaps, despite currently being able to wear the variants. Improve profits from clue scrolls and so the impact of this to normal accounts would have been to increase the demand. This isn't an illustration of polling fulfilling the interests of Runescape, it's just a meme of not liking pures. If we only see updates that suit the exact same 75 percent of people every time that the remaining 25 percent become more and more marginalised, which is not a good balance when people 75/25 are seemingly so frequently the very same individuals.
Not everyone will make sound decisions while voting, or create the"right" choice. If literally everyone made the most informed voting options. The United States would not have the president it does. Real world example of unemployment, nothing more. Our voting system is not perfect, but we all got to make sure we do not end up with the crap that has shoved RS3 players down. Our throats. There are unquestionably improves that may be made that don't endanger it though (which aren't being achieved or tried ).
What will kill and destroy this game and its integrity is that the disregard of this voting system that jagex is currently trying to push more of, as evident by this poll and has been doing. If jagex appeared as much as they state that they do about it, then they would not constantly have unclear and confusing wording in surveys. Its a thing too. You'd think it would get something or proof read. On the contrary, the polling system works to life democracy.
Abolish or I am not advocating to ignore the polling system and it is a tool in holding the devs to account. On the other hand, the polling system requires improvements or flexibility to meet the needs of the player base and doesn't function effectively. When 99% of content is left to the community to pick, I can not agree with all the exaggeration on your post about the disregard of things that are polled. It's essential to be aware that the events when they have been believed by
Buy RuneScape 2007 Gold Jagex needed to diverge from the outcome, it was because they felt forced to by the difficulties together with the voting system itself.
