Lingard expressed his willingness to wait for Masu-girl's goal naturally.
Jeong Jung-yong's Gimcheon Commerce and Kim Ki-dong's FC Seoul drew 0-0 in the 15th round of the Hana Bank K League 1 2024 at the Gimcheon Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 28.
Lingard has improved his form after recovering from injury, starting three consecutive matches until today. He played 70 minutes in the match, three days after playing full-time against the Pohang Steelers in Round 14.
“It was a tough game, but I think it was a game we could have won,” Lingard told the media after the match. We were playing within 72 hours of the Pohang game, so we were honestly tired,” he reflected.
According to Kim Ki-dong, the Seoul Physical coach had earlier urged Lingard to play after he had played full time in the previous match. Hana was more determined. Kim decided to trust Lingard and put him in the starting lineup.
“I don't chase goals,” Lingard said, “but it's true that I'm waiting for the first goal. But the most important thing right now is to come back and play after a long time, so I personally think I need to find that feeling more. I'm trying to find the feel of the game, the timing of going 토토사이트 into the penalty box, the positioning. I will try to show more hunger for goals as I play,” he said.
True to his word, Masu-girl needs to score. With the exception of her home team, Seoul, every team wants to avoid being the first team to give Lingard a goal.
“I didn't really know about that,” Lingard said. In the first half of today's game, it was actually hard because they didn't give me any space in the center, so I had to come down a lot to get the goal. Personally, I didn't feel like I had to score a goal, but I thought it would come naturally.”
He also knew exactly what kind of team Gimcheon Commerce was. They knew that the team was made up of military personnel who were doing alternative service, and that each player was of high quality.
“I knew it was a military team. I think it's a very good team, and I know they picked the best players from each team, so it can only be good,” he said.
He is very happy with his life in Korea. He's been in Korea for four months now.
“Like I keep saying, it's been fantastic,” Lingard said. I feel really loved and accepted by everyone. Of course, I didn't have the best start. I got injured at the beginning of the season and was away from the team for a while, but like I said in the interview, everything happens for a reason,” he said.
“I think it's only going to get better from here. The team treats me like family and I really enjoy my life in Korea,” he added.
