Some women believe that men's excessive focus on sexual needs may cause discomfort or even pressure. If sex robots can become a substitute for meeting some of men's needs, it may reduce the pressure on women in intimate relationships to some extent.
For example, in the relationship between men and women, it may reduce quarrels or frictions caused by unequal sexual needs. Women can choose more freely whether to invest in emotional relationships without being forced to compromise because of social or partner sexual expectations.
If men reduce their need for emotional relationships because of sex robots, it may also affect the development of traditional intimate relationships. Although this technology seems to alleviate some conflicts in getting along, some people may choose to escape the complexity of interpersonal relationships because of the convenience of sex robots, thereby reducing interaction with real partners.
Even more, realistic sex doll robots are more beautiful than real women, and some people will bring similar addiction problems as being addicted to virtual games or other technologies. Over-reliance on sex robots may lead to a decrease in men's need for real emotions and even affect their ability to socialize with others.
The emergence of sex robot technology is a "double-edged sword." It may ease some conflicts, such as reducing relationship pressure caused by gender differences; but it also brings new problems, such as ethical disputes, how to define emotions, moral boundaries and the scope of use of such technology. In short, I think such technology should be regarded as a tool, not a complete substitute for emotional relationships. Technology can serve humanity, but emotional connections between people are always indispensable.
