Animal Crossing: The summer update of New Horizons adds a variety of new
features, including dreaming, backup, and a weekly firework show.
However, this is not all the new features in the current game. The Nook
shopping catalog has also added some new items to its seasonal
collection, which can be purchased with
Animal Crossing Bells.
Three
new limited-time items can be ordered now: Rodeo-style elastic riding
clothes, Hikoboshi costumes and Orihime costumes. You can find these
tags under the "Seasonal" tab in the Nook Shopping terminal, and each of
them can be used until August 31. The price of the former is 2,000
bells and the price of the latter two is 2,500.
The update also
adds a backup function. This only applies to Switch Online subscribers,
you can backup New Horizon save data in case of losing or damaging the
Switch. However, the way this feature works is different from the
typical cloud storage provided through the service.
The latest
1.4.0 update of New Horizons also added a new summer event: fireworks
display. Every Sunday at 7pm from your time, you will be able to watch
the fireworks in the game with your friends and villagers. During the
performance, Isabel will be stationed in your city square and provide
you with free wearable bumpers. Redd will also have its own raffle tent,
but a
Nook miles Ticket
is required to qualify for the raffle, where you will be able to win
festive items such as balloons, windmills and fountain fireworks.
