The tabletop gaming company has previously created board games based upon series like Monster Hunter World and Dark Souls and, most recently, completed an extremely successful crowdfunding campaign for a Resident Evil 2 board game in which they raised more than one million pounds earlier in the year.

The company has set its sights on Gielinor's world and RuneScape with plans to launch the board game as well as a tabletop RPG core book in the coming year. The two RPG versions will include a number of RuneScape's most popular characters and places, allowing groups with up to five players to compete against classic quests taken from RuneScape with the adventures within the realm of Gielinor to the home of Gielinor.

Players can create and upgrade their equipment, interact with NPCs as well as take on many side missions that are influenced in the traditional MMORPG. The board game will go live through a Kickstarter campaign later in the year while the core tabletop RPG book is expected to launch in stores immediately.
