With Buy RuneScape Gold Malcolm being quite open about his concept, word quickly was heard from Jagex that a fan had turned into creating a game built entirely on its own MMO. One of the team employees flagged the game to be controlled and director of product Control Chris Pfeiffer telling us his team was inspired by the method that showed "how many of the ideas were done and how much that was in line with RuneScape."
"The idea of Melvor Idle is also in line with our core beliefs about what constitutes an activity that is a family-friendly one -- it was an ideal match to us" the CEO says. "Furthermore the idea of offering a player from our network the chance to participate is sure to excite every employee within the company."
Pfieffer and his team members tried Melvor Idle on their own and were enthralled enough that they reached for Malcolm to discuss the possibility of working together beginning in 2021.
"From just our initial conversations we learned that Brendan is a part of Jagex's creative and visionary network-driven video games and has done an amazing job of creating an energetic and healthy network around Melvor Idle. It's not common to find an herbal match like this when trying to locate publishing opportunities but Brendan as well as Melvor Idle were precisely this, and we were thrilled to have the chance to help Melvor Idle and the game with all our hearts.
He explains: "We like to mention that, if RuneScape is an MMO that is enjoyed while watching TV, Melvor is the idle game that can be enjoyed while playing RuneScape. Melvor Idle takes the core gameplay mechanics and repackages them into bite-sized chunks that can be enjoyed even when you're short on time, RuneScape players will feel home in Melvor.
However, it's an extremely played idle game with a focus on allowing players to choose their own path through the game makes it stand apart from the plethora of video games with no purpose that force players into increasing the number."
The discussion improved and Melvor Idle turned into quickly accepted by Jagex Partners, the RuneScape company's publishing division. Jagex offered Malcolm improvements suggestions and assisted with the complete redesign of the emblem as well as aiding with Buy OSRS Gold localisation and network control making a game that was developed by means of one character to a item that could be played in 13 different languages (thus so far).
