Time will tell if this plan will come to fruition -- it seems near-impo sible to predict now. On the night of the NFL's schedule release, we broke down the , their toughest stretch, and more. Now, we decided to take the next step in breaking down the team's 2020 schedule.Without further ado, here's a way-too-early week-by-week prediction for all 16 of the Giants' regular season games on the schedule, complete with over/under win totals for every opponent courtesy of William Hill Sports Book, as well as the Week 1 and 2 lines. The Giants' O/U is 6.5:Week 1 vs. Steelers (MNF)Line: Steelers -3.5Opponent win total: O/U 9Prediction: Ben Roethlisberger will be throwing his first NFL pa s in almost a year and the truncated offseason won't exactly help his cause. The Steelers have also shadily lost key members of their once-elite offensive line over the past two off-seasons and the last time this offense played elite football was with former receiver Antonio Brown on the field. These are all the things working in the Giants' favor. On the flip side, the Steelers defense took that step toward becoming one of the NFL's elite units in 2019 and should be even better in 2020. In a brand new offensive system under Jason Garrett that will draw little to no similarities to what Daniel Jones operated under Pat Shurmur, this is not the ideal first matchup for the second-year quarterback. New York's defense will surprise under first-year coordinator Patrick Graham to help keep this game close for three quarters before Pittsburgh pulls away. So what did the Rams do this offseason? Bereft of a first-round pick, they used their two Day 2 selections on skill position players. Graham's Dolphins defense was one of the blitz-heaviest in the NFL in 2019 and they turn up the pre sure here. A poor decision by Goff allows the Giants to take this game into overtime where they grab the victory. Washington seems open to hosting a competition between Haskins and Kyle Allen, but regardle s who starts in this game, the Giants' revamped defense has the edge against an offensive line that will likely be much worse than they were in 2019 after losing line guru Bill Callahan and doing nothing in free agency or the draft to improve any of arguably the most important positions after the quarterback. This game will resemble Jones' first home start in 2019 (and that was minus Barkley), but it will finish a little closer. Giants 20-13Projected record: 3-3Week 7 at Eagles (TNF)Opponent win total:O/U 9.5Prediction: Filling in for the injured Jones, Eli Manning nearly led the Giants to victory in Philadelphia last season but lost in overtime.
