While Capcom seeks to expand its reach on the PC game market, it is not surprising that Monster Hunter: Rise soon gets a PC port. The previous entries like Monster Hunter World worked very well on PC, the fans have come to expect to discover all the new features of Rise there. And, they can quite, but there is a problem. The PC version of the game will not support the multiplatform game and you will not be able to transfer the backup data between the platforms. If you have a PC and your hunting partner has a switch, you could play fully different games.
No concrete explanation was given for this movement, but anyway, it had to be a difficult barrier to cross. The official Twitter account of Monster Hunter had to publish a statement that disappointed many of his players:
We have heard your requests for cross-save / cross-play for Mhrise & sunbreak, but unfortunately, after having examined it throughout the development process, we found that we could not implement it times. As always, we appreciate your comments and continuous support.

This is certainly not due to a material limitation, the multiplatform game and the backup data transfers have existed for the Switch / PC games in the past. Divinity: Original Sin 2 could do it without problem, and Warframe will do something similar in the coming months. So, although we have some clues on which to work, the wider truth remains obscured.
Naturally, a decision like this has led many players to ask a lot of questions. Speculations and theories are numerous, but the general consensus among them is that the fault in Nintendo. A respond to the Twitter publication said: Nintendo has a long history of having a deadly fear of modding and community content for their games. They probably saw it as a loophole for moddors and said hell no . Although such an explanation seems plausible, it will be all it will be until an official source is published.
