Son Heung-min (32, Tottenham Hotspur) has paid tribute to teammate Ben Davies (31) on the 10th anniversary of his arrival at the club.
Davies is a legend in his own right, having scored 10 goals and provided 19 assists in 296 games for Spurs since joining from Swansea City in 2014. He is currently the longest-serving Tottenham player of all time, and has held his own despite a string of managers, including Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho (Fenerbahce SK) and Antonio Conte (SSC Napoli).
Davies has been with the club for 10 years and has become a veteran defender. Tottenham congratulated Davis on his 10th anniversary through social media on Nov. 23 (local time) and shared a message from Son Heung-min. The two have shared ups and downs for nine years, and their friendship is deep.
Although they didn't win any trophies, they were part of Spurs' golden era in the 21st century. They were instrumental in the revolutionary 2016/17 Premier League and 2018/19 UEFA Champions League runners-up finishes, and most recently, the 2020/21 Carabao Cup runners-up finish. It was a combination of Davies' silence and Son Heung-min's 파워볼실시간 sharpness.
“I've been close to players in many teams, but Davis is on a different level,” said Son, who gave a thumbs-up, adding, ”I want to call him family, he's someone I can trust.”
He added, “On the field, Davis is the same. He doesn't complain and does his best for the team. He has a great sense of professionalism and deserves the respect of every player.” ”He shines whenever he has to step up, and that's what he does.”
He also explained why he is Davis' “real family”. “I'm also the godfather of Davis' son Ralph. “Davis invited me in an amazing way, and it was an amazing feeling. I've never felt this way before, so I was overwhelmed with emotion, and I was so grateful that he thought of me that way.”
