Though Diablo 4 players who create Hardcore characters te from JeansKeyzhu's blog

TheGoodDoctor17's post attracted more than 17,000 upvotes on the Diablo 4 subreddit and almost 3,000 comments where several users criticized the player's attitude. One of the comments criticized argued that buying Diablo 4 is not buying the game itself, but the license to Diablo 4 Items play the game.

Another comment also directed negative impressions at the player's request, saying that Diablo 4 was promoted and made with a PvP element. Other players discussed aspects of Diablo 4's PvP that they would like to see changed, and one Redditor recalled Whoopi Goldberg's outrage with Diablo 4. The famous actress purchased Diablo 4 to play on Mac, even though Blizzard never promoted the game as available for Mac.

Diablo 4 will follow the live-service model seen in games like Destiny 2 and Grand Theft Auto Online, meaning the game will get a constant stream of content to engage players for as long as possible. As such, players who don't want to interact with Diablo 4's PvP will still have plenty to do in the game's dark world. One example is going through Diablo 4's Nightmare Dungeons and picking up some high-quality loot.

Diablo 4 fans have always considered Strongholds as an exciting feature full of untapped potential, which made a player come up with an ingenious way to tie them together with the current gameplay loop. As it stands, Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4 represent the bulk of its endgame, and though the game has had its critics, the reward structure has been widely praised by the community. Where most players take issue is in its lack of variety. Nightmare Dungeons may be fun for a while, but they lack the chaotic unpredictability of Greater Rifts from Diablo 3.

Many fans would say that the endgame in Diablo 4 is good on paper, but it needs a bit more to offer in terms of pure content. A quicker respawn on World Bosses, better Nightmare Dungeon layouts, and repeatable Strongholds have been some of the game's most requested features. Though it remains to be seen if and when Blizzard decides to expand on Diablo 4's endgame content structure, the willingness of the developers to increase rewards in Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides implies that they're more than willing to listen to the community.

The suggestion, submitted by TheCruelHand on the Diablo 4 subreddit, is simple: instead of being permanent, Strongholds in Diablo 4 could be subjected to a weekly reset. In addition to becoming repeatable, Strongholds would change their modifiers similarly to how Nightmare Dungeons have different affixes, and even the bosses could be fully randomized. Given that it doesn't take long to clear a Stronghold, it wouldn't hamper Diablo 4 players too much in restoring every Stronghold's waypoint.

Another genius idea for Diablo 4's Strongholds came from Kyriolex in the same thread, where they suggested that players could also (optionally) tackle Nightmare Strongholds by activating Nightmare Mode through Stronghold Sigils. Though some fans are worried that the novelty would wear off quick, having the ability to break up the current monotony at endgame would be appreciated. The grind to obtain a perfect set for gear for any Diablo 4 class is far longer than it used to be in Diablo 3, and having to run the same content over and over again is hardly anyone's idea of fun.

On the flip side, turning Strongholds into a weekly grind might backfire, as it could easily introduce a bothersome grind for players to deal with every Thursday. Perhaps the best solution instead would be to place the reset button into the players' own hands. Ultimately, Season of the Malignant in Diablo 4 will introduce Malignant Tunnels to the game, and though they may not be the repeatable Strongholds that players have been asking for, they should still hopefully add new depth to Diablo 4's endgame.

Though Diablo 4 players who create Hardcore characters tend to be fully aware of the consequences, a new griefing method may cause them to unceremoniously end their playthrough in an unfair way. The Hardcore community has come a long way since Diablo 2, as it also found new battlegrounds in Azeroth, prompting the developers to  Diablo 4 materials for sale add an official Hardcore mode to World of Warcraft. Accomplishments, achievements, and victories in Hardcore are valued tenfold, as players can lose entire weeks of progress in the blink of an eye.
