# Do you get cell reception there? Do not assume that this is going to happen automatically. Check the phone and make sure.

# Are there enough widows for you to be comfortable with? Natural light can be nice in an apartment.

# Does the house or rental have enough smoke detectors present to keep you safe and can you check whether they are functional?

# Look to see if there are any signs of rodents or pests around the property.
