They can seem so small and harmless, but they can cause a lot of problems if you are not carful and you allow them to bring all their friends. There are a few solutions that you can utilize, including hiring a professional pest control technician. But if you only see a few ants around, you may want to try a few DIY options to help out.

One of these DIY options to choose is known as diatomaceous earth. This is a substance that is maid out of silica, or the fossilized remains of aquatic organisms called diatoms, which is going to be a type of plankton. This isn’t a poison, but it is going to kill ants and other bugs because it will force them to absorb the oils in the exoskeletons. It is basically going to dry them out.

The biggest issue here is that it can be an irritant, so you will need to be careful about getting it on your skin or breathing it in if you use it. You will need to follow the directions on the package to make sure that you can kill them. If you are worried about it irritating the customers, call some of the professionals who can come and help remove them.
