Choosing a Landlord Based on Tenant Feedback and Their Reputation from Steve Ker's blog

Choosing a good landlord is going to make all of the difference when you move into a new apartment. A good one will take care of the property, make sure that it is updated and look as good as possible, and can give you privacy, making sure that they don’t come in and disturb your home without the proper notice. Having a bad landlord can make it impossible to enjoy your home and will make you want to move out. But how do you make sure that you are choosing an apartment community that hasa good landlord, rather than a bad landlord.

First, you need to take the time to look at some of the tenant feedback that you get from other people. You wat to see how past and current tenants will work with the landlord and whether they have had a good experience with the landlord or not. You can ask the tenants when you go on a tour, or look online to see whether anyone has left some reviews or not. If you see some poor reviews, then you may want to consider whether it is time to look at a different apartment community to see if it is right for you or not. Read some of the good reviews, and some of the bad reviews to get the best overview of what is going on before you move in.

You also need to consider the reputation of the landlord. Depending on the size of the area where you would like to call home, you may have heard about the landlord in the past before. Take that into account. You can ask different landlords you may know or even go on the community chat for your area. If the reviews are good and the landlord has a good reputation, then this is a good sign and you are on the right track with picking out an apartment that has a good landlord. But if the reviews are neutral and negative, then it is time to look somewhere else for a new home.
