Alaska Airlines' Policy on Same-Day Flight Changes from John Martin's blog

Sudden changes in flight on the same day only occur when a passenger is stranded due to a medical or official emergency, and changing the trip is the only option. If you need to alter your flight on the same day, you should be aware of the following short policies:-

* In most circumstances, passengers must pay $25-$50 for same-day modifications, however Alaska Airlines policy states that you will not be charged a fee difference at any time.

* Additionally, the traveller can only alter their flight on the same day as their check-in and must request the change prior to the original flight's departure. Always ensure that the new intended flight departs on the same day as the original planned flight, with the same origin, destination, and connecting cities.

* Passengers with refundable tickers can request a same-day change, and the price will be waived in this instance.
