It's like traversing channels that are well-known.Is it going to be something like Pandaria which is hiding in the mists time?
No. I mean this was talked about in some novels, and it's an issue that's been avoided in the game itself. It was however an area that's not known to anyone. The purpose of this is both sides reaching out and seeking to gather additional allies in this big conflict. What they don't want to do is to get one of these locations, as well as the people who are in them, fall into to the control of other side.
I've always been an Alliance player. However, when it comes to story, I take lots of criticism from Horde friends who say their stories are better. In the end, he's performing this massive mass healing, which is more than what he's all about. This is why I believe he's mixing the essence of his father and the Alliance and his personal identity into this.
On the other hand, you'll get to see lots of the evolution of Sylvanas. We were able to see some of the character in Legion. We told a portion of her story, she's the chieftain in the Horde, but you'll see much more about her when you play Battle For Azeroth. The stories in these are not just about the one enemy as in Legion however they are more about two different sides.
In that sense, it's as if it's going to be a more intimate story because we've done these kinds of epic, world-ending narratives.Absolutely. It's not a big giant monster or a titan like Sargeras. The issue is about the most powerful enemy one could ever face. "So there's not really a time when we say "Let's take the opposite direction'. it has to be new.' Heroes 2.0 is all concerned with going through our progress and rewards, while opening up all the game's content. People can earn this simply by playing the game and by advancing the level of all their heroes.
"Before, there was a wall. Then you would reach level 40 and that was it. The game would stop. Everybody who played the game and hit 40 would think, 'Okay, now what do I do What am I doing?' So we wanted to uncap that, and let people keep playing. Whatever you do regardless of what type of game you play it's always a good thing to progress and then you're always getting fantastic rewards. We're labelling it Heroes 2.0 because that was a pretty dramatic shift, but the core game was Heroes of the Storm. We're always creating, and striving to make better.
"I think it's a different world to live in. As someone who made Starcraft and World of Warcraft, those were box games. You do the box game Then a couple years later, you've an expansion. In the end you're like, "Okay you're done, let's move on.' Heroes of the Storm keeps evolving and living, and it's really fun to create something similar to that."
Max Ma (lead UI designer): "To me we're making Heartstone 11 right now. I remember being part of the team in the early days when we were just about to start designing World of Warcraft for mobile. For me, that's like a brand new game by itself. As the user interface designer on the team, each screen is brand new; we're building the entire thing from scratch. I'd sat down for a while before Legion. But while that tutorial helped, I still felt that I had to search the internet to read the best rotations, that I needed assistance from an outside source in order to gain a real feel for the most effective build I could use for my course. Is there a chance to get more of that type of instruction available in-game?
Well, there are people who are looking to achieve their goals and are looking for "I must make sure that I'm getting the most DPS!" It's my belief that there's always going to be an enormous number of our fanbase that are doing examination and trying out to see how achieve the most value from their game. But I don't think any player should feel they're required to do this. You can have a great time at our dungeons, and in our raids, without having to be able to collect the last drop of top-of-the-line gear.
When it comes to the way we design the game we're always cognoscent of new players that are coming in. We still have a substantial number of new players every time we release an expansion this is hard to believe. There are people who don't have played World of Warcraft ! If you're in 109. and I could be at 100. and yet we'll be able to enjoy a wonderful time playing together. So we can essentially build the areas we want to play in such an approach that they are level independent, right?
We're going back and applying this technology to all the existing areas in Azeroth. You'll be able to make your own choices. When you're increasing your level from one to 110. and then eventually 120 levels in Battle for Azeroth, you'll be able to make a decision: "Do I want to go up to Northrend and experience that content? Or, do I prefer go towards Burning Crusade?" There's a lot of content to be covered however we desire you to have an enjoyable, easy game experience. So we're busily at that currently. EA has not yet made a comment on the issue, and even though the market has started to rebound, the loss seems to be irreversible, and it remains to be seen what EA will do to rectify the situation.
