These were the top 5 biggest electric bike news stories of 2021

Electric bicycles have positively exploded in popularity this year. You don’t have to take our word for it – you can see that e-bike sales numbers are off the charts. To get more news about davincidynamic, you can visit davincimotor.com official website.

Consumer interest in electric bikes continues to grow, and more riders are pounding the pavement and the dirt than ever before. Electrek alone brought in tens of millions of views for e-bike news stories this year, further demonstrating how much fascination there is in the industry. Now we’re looking back on the biggest electric bike news stories of the year. When BMW unveiled its i Vision AMBY electric bicycle, it did so fully knowing that the fast e-bike didn’t fit within any current legal definitions of an electric bike.

The powerful motor gave it a top speed of up to 60 km/h (37 mph), which far exceeds the typical legal e-bike limits in nearly every country in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

The top speed was technically modifiable via a smartphone app, allowing it to be dropped to anywhere from 25-45 km/h (15-28 mph) to fit various local speed regulations. BMW even floated the idea of having the speed limit be adjustable in real-time using geofencing, meaning you could go full speed on private roads and trails, then have the bike automatically drop back to local speed limits when you join a public road. Or the speed limit could be lower in the city center, then automatically boost higher when riders hop onto a larger, faster road. But BMW knew quite well what it was doing, stating that the e-bike concept was more about encouraging a conversation about updating electric bicycle regulations to include higher speed and more powerful offerings. As the company explained:

The high-speed and geofencing capabilities of the e-bike weren’t the only head-turners. BMW also outfitted the e-bike with a 2,000 Wh battery, which is around 3-4x the average e-bike battery size today.

The company claims that in the lowest power mode, the e-bike would be capable of 300 km (186 miles) of range on pedal assist. If you weren’t already aware, I write a weekly column known as the Awesomely Weird Alibaba Electric Vehicle of the Week. You pretty much either love it or hate it.

The series is a largely tongue-in-cheek column where I find a fun, silly, or outrageous electric vehicle on China’s largest shopping website. It’s always awesome, weird, or both.

This time I found a particularly intriguing electric bicycle designed for three riders. As awesomely weird as the design was, a big driver in its interest was likely the $750 price tag, combined with free shipping.

That was for the “low capacity battery” option, which was just 384 Wh. But you could bump up to options including 720 Wh, 840 Wh, or a ridiculous 960 Wh pack, all without pushing the price over $1,000. That was pretty amazing by itself. But the utility of the thing really brought it home. Three seats, full suspension, a pet cage (which I think should probably never actually be used for a real pet), and more made this thing feature-packed.

There was even a motor lock to keep someone from being able to use the bike if they stole it, rear footpegs, front folding footpegs, folding pedals (basically lots of places for three people to put their feet), and more!I was in fact so enamored with this weird little e-bike after writing about it, that I went ahead and put my money where my mouth was by buying one. That turned out to be a rollercoaster of a ride after it took months to make it through the cargo ship backlog off of Long Beach, California. When it finally landed, the container it was in was “damaged” and my bike was “undeliverable.”

I now have a replacement bike on its way, and hopefully this one actually gets delivered so I can share with you how the bike performs in real life.

2022 Tork Electric Motorcycle Production Spec Spied Testing

Several new comers are marking their entry into the electric scooter segment. Ola launched the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters in India at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999 respectively. Bengaluru-based Simple Energy also unveiled its e-scooter at Rs.1,09,999. In addition to this, there are many electric scooters on offer from leading brands in the space like Hero Electric, Okinawa, Ampere, Ather etc. Bajaj and TVS also have an offering each in this space. To get more news about DC100, you can visit davincimotor.com official website.

Auto component manufacturer, Bharat Forge also entered this space recently, for which it has tied up with Tork Motors. The latter is a Pune-based EV manufacturer. Tork Motors has its own T6X, India’s first performance electric motorcycle, scheduled for launch in India in early 2022. Ahead of that, its production-spec variant has now been spied on test.

This electric motorcycle which has been under development for the past 7 years, it will come in with state of the art features and updated technology. It will launch in India in sometime next year and will be powered via lithium ion batteries. It is likely to offer a top speed of 100 km/h and a range of 100 kms on a single charge. Quick charging option could also be on offer.

Tork Motors has also recently met with FAME II regulations which means that the upcoming products will stand to gain from these subsidies offered by the Government of India. Their customers will also take advantage of benefits being presented on electric vehicles by various State Governments.

Bharat Forge seeks a 5-6 percent market share in this electric two and three wheeler segment along with electric trucks and buses, by 2025 along with Kalyani Powertrain (KPTL). KPTL is also in talks with vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators in respect to its e-mobility platform.
The company seeks to supply sub-system, complete electric motors and light weight structural components and has also lowered capital expenditure guidance from an earlier Rs 300 crores announced in June 2021 to Rs 200-250 crores for FY22.

Apart from partnering with Bharat Forge, Tork is also seeking an alliance with three wheeler makers for the supply of electric powertrains. This space is currently commanded by the likes of Mahindra, Piaggio and Atul Auto while automakers Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors are also set to enter the fray.

Bharat Force also has a 50:50 investment with Refu Electronik GmbH of Germany for developing, manufacturing and selling on-board controllers and components used in the manufacture of hybrid and electric vehicles. Bharat Forge also used to controls a 35 percent stake in UK based Tevva Motors for development of powertrain solutions for commercial vehicles but has since exited from this alliance.

New World’ online game bans nearly 8,000 accounts for ‘botting’

The developers of New World, Amazon Games’ flagship project, announced on Thursday that it banned thousands of accounts for automated gathering activity, or “botting.”To get more news about buy new world gold, you can visit yourmoneygeek.com official website.

In New World, as with many other massively-multiplayer online games, players are encouraged to gather resources from the environment like herbs, ore, leather, fish, and meat, which can be crafted into useful in-game items like armor, weapons, food, and potions. Alternatively, the resources can be, and often are, sold to other players for a profit.

That often results in the creation of third-party programs that automate the process, known in the community as “botting.” These programs are specifically prohibited by most games’ terms of service, but they still tend to crop up in any sufficiently popular MMO. It allows a player to set up a script so their character, the “bot,” will go in circles collecting resources while the player does something else.

Unlike many other MMOs, New World allows players to pursue every type of resource gathering at once, which has already created unique deflationary issues. Now, on top of that, its players have reported a big influx of botting on many servers, which has further cratered the value of in-game goods.

After a report on the epidemic ran on PC Gamer on Monday, Amazon Games has taken action. Its representatives offered the following statement to GeekWire:

“We’re aware of player reports about increased bot activity in New World. Bots pose a persistent challenge for MMOs, and our team has deployed dedicated resources and tooling to identify and combat them. We are committed to continuous improvement in our fight against bots, and yesterday [Dec. 1] alone, we banned over 7,700 accounts for using bots. Our goal is to ensure New World is fun and fair for all players.”

Before Amazon itself took action, players of New World had amused themselves by finding their own ways to deal with the bot problem. Since bots’ scripting typically isn’t particularly elaborate, players have been able to break their patterns by putting obstacles in their path or getting them into fights. This newest wave of bans from Amazon comes a little over two weeks after the discovery of a “duping” exploit, which allowed players to freely duplicate items in their inventory, including coins, which was effectively an infinite-money cheat. The New World development team permanently banned “over 1,200 players” for duping as of Nov. 15, which also required the temporary shutdown of the entire in-game economy.

After several delays over the course of the year, Amazon released New World in late September to middling reviews but a startlingly positive fan reaction. It briefly peaked at over 913,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch, a record-setting number, but like any MMO, that figure dwindled over the course of the next few weeks.

As of Thursday morning, the New World player count seems to have stabilized at around 130,000 to 140,000, peaking during the middle of the week. Its last major content update, Into the Void, arrived on Nov. 18, which features a new weapon, a new class of enemy in the invading Varangian Knights, and new player-vs-player modes.

New World is only the third original video game from Amazon Game Studios, despite years of effort and false starts, and its launch has widely been perceived as a make-it-or-break-it moment for Amazon’s ambitions as a mainstream game developer.

Should You Play New World?

Amazon Games’ upcoming MMORPG New World is in the spotlight as a lengthy closed beta session shows off the action ahead of a September 28 release. New World has changed its vision multiple times over the course of development, and now the question on everyone’s mind is – where is this going to land on release? What kind of player is it for? What kind of MMORPG is it? And perhaps the most important question, is it worth your time at all? Over the course of the beta (and a demo session that took me into an endgame slice with a fully-geared character), I’ve seen some areas with huge potential that are currently underserved in the MMORPG space – and some others that could be intense detriments for the title. Let’s talk about New World! To get more news about buy new world coins, you can visit spieltimes.com official website.

If you’re familiar with survival games that have you punching wood to get a house going, New World delivers on this front initially by giving the player myriad survival pursuits. Hunting turkey on the borders of your established safe zones to raise your cooking skill and create rations is far more engaging than it has any right to be. Hunting down elusive saltpeter deposits in mines and crafting your own shells for your old-timey rifles feels fun. Being able to skill up in everything to your liking is a classic system à la Runescape, and its nice to know you can work up every single crafting and gathering skill if you wish, right down to doing some fishing. Banging together your first batch of gathering tools is actually freaking awesome.

Digging up carrots and potatoes feels meaningful. Coming back to your town in the middle of the wilderness to trade feed and talk with your fellow explorers has all the allure of bustling about Disney’s Frontierland, and I’ve rarely had so much investment into crafting and trading systems in MMOs. I can see potential problems with these aspects later down the line, i.e. do I really want to spend my time in the endgame gathering resources just so I can play the game, but for now, there’s plenty of magic in creating my own food, ammunition, and supplies before I trek out into the wild. It feels gritty, it feels raw, and it feels fresh.

Territory control and faction-based opt-in PVP not only bring back a bit of realm-vs-realm feel from the glory days of Dark Age of Camelot, but they inject something that many online experiences have moved away from in the last decade – social interaction. That means yes, you are going to see a player named PoopyPants (Yes, this was a real player I saw) cutting down trees and screaming outside of town about the price of silver ore, and your chat feed is going to be inundated with comments that make the infamous Barrens chat look downright erudite. However, it also successfully adds shared social stakes to the experience, even if you choose not to interact at the verbal level with any other players. By funneling players into three different factions, you have an investment in your tribe regardless of how deep you want to take it. If you still just want to solo and bring back a load of furs to trade in town, you can – but the real fun is to be had by grouping up, interacting with others, and eventually taking over some territory as your chosen faction.

At the solo, guild, and greater level, having game flow dictated by players instead of the “theme park” experience is a bold choice and more than a bit refreshing. The issue here is how interesting and meaningful are these faction wars going to be in the endgame? While I don’t have the answer to that yet, the prospect of really engaging with other players in a meaningful way in a MMORPG gives me a powerful nostalgia bump and some serious differentiation from many other genre offerings today. On the flip side, if you’re not really interested in territory wars or PvP, other existing MMORPGs might be a better choice.

In almost every MMORPG, you’re going to be doing a ton of combat. It’s probably the biggest portion of the entire gameplay experience. With limited skill options, awkward animations, and very little excitement, New World’s combat is decidedly dull. Now, there’s something to be said about popping an opposing faction member from a great distance before you engage in a 3v3 skirmish that gets real greasy, but that’s more about the player-to-player interaction than the combat, which can often feel wooden and wonky. While I enjoy systems that attempt to break the genre out of the tab-targeting standard that’s been grandfathered into MMOs for ages, it misses the mark here.

I found it hard to determine if the other aspects of the game that seem enjoyable can carry this particular aspect either, as combat is the core of almost every other pursuit. Even if you’re just spelunking for saltpeter, you’re going to have to fight a ton of various zombie-like creatures, wolves, or bears, and it simply does not feel good. This problem is exacerbated in group experiences, both PvP and PvE, but more pronounced in the latter. Chewing into spongey opponents as a pack with the glaring lack of feedback from weaponry is almost comical, and your options in combat feel extremely limited and lacking.

Even though laptops and tablets make up roughly 80% of the PC market, one out of every five computers sold is a good old-fashioned desktop. And why not? If you already spend your day tethered to a big-screen monitor, a desktop PC as your home computer makes a lot of sense. And when it comes to longevity, it's hard to beat a desktop PC. Plus, a desktop computer offers more power and expandability than a laptop, and a powerful processor is especially important if you'll be using your device for something like photo editing or as a gaming PC.

A desktop computer is generally going to come in the form of either a tower or an all-in-one (with an integrated screen), though there are smaller designs for tighter spaces. And while you can find Windows and Macs for as little as $500 to $700, Chrome and Linux fans have plenty of affordable options, too.

While laptops still occupy the majority of our editors' time and effort with CNET's hands-on reviews, we've rounded up our favorite recent desktop products below. This list starts with models we've tested, and then moves on to more generic configurations. We haven't explicitly tested those specific models in the latter batch, but the specs listed should deliver considerable value for the price, based on our experience with similarly configured laptops we've tested. Unless otherwise indicated, the products listed below don't include a monitor, keyboard, mouse or webcam. You'll need to bring your own or buy them separately. We update this best desktop PC list periodically.
For 2021, Apple fully redesigned the iMac with a body so ultrathin that it could easily be confused with a jumbo-screen iPad. It's now built on the same superfast M1 chip found in Apple's late-2020 MacBook Air and Mac Mini (see below), with a gorgeous 24-inch screen replacing the previous 21.5-inch version. The 1080p webcam is a big upgrade over the MacBook's 720p model, and the rainbow of available colors -- hearkening back to the 1999 iMac G3 -- is a welcome addition. Just be prepared to spend up for the myriad storage and accessory upgrades. (Note that the larger 27-inch iMac has yet to be revamped, and is still running an Intel processor.) WORLD OF WARCRAFT: SHADOWLANDS PATCH 9.2 RELEASE DATE

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' patch 9.2 will be the expansion's final chapter, its release date bringing with it a new area to explore, a new raid that sees players facing off against the Jailer himself, and more.To get more news about buy wow items, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

WoW's 9.2 Eternity's End update counts among those focusing on expanding available content, but players can also look forward to class changes when its release date occurs, as well as the return of class sets, and the start of new Mythic+ and PvP seasons.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' patch 9.2 went live on the PTR (public test realm) during the week of December 2, 2021. That was when players got the first chance to try out its changes, including the new Cypher of the First Ones progression system and various balance tweaks, before raid testing kicked off towards the middle of the month.

PTR cycles usually last between 2.5 and 3 months, so we expect WoW 9.2's release date to occur at some point between mid-February and early March 2022. New updates usually go live with the weekly reset, which happens on Tuesday/Wednesday, depending on if you're playing on US or EU servers.

WoW patch 9.2 Release Date (GameWatcher estimation): Mid-February/Early March 2022
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has a considerably slower pace in terms of content releases than previous expansions, and will seemingly have a structure similar to Warlords of Draenor, which also only received two major patches.

The ongoing pandemic and internal issues continue to affect the studio but, with WoW's 9.2 update release date on the horizon, we're keeping our fingers crossed that the MMORPG's next expansion will benefit from more attention.

Costa Rica switches allegiance to China from Taiwan

Costa Rica, bowing to China’s growing economic might, has switched allegiance to China from Taiwan in the latest blow for an island Beijing claims as its own and which now has only 24 allies left in the world.Get more news about China To Costa Rica, you can vist our website!

Taiwan’s diplomatic ties are with mostly small, poor nations, including much of Central America and scattered countries in the South Pacific and Africa, compared with more than 170 countries that recognize Beijing.

“We tried our very best to try and maintain ties with Costa Rica, but eventually we failed,” Taiwan Foreign Minister James Huang told a news conference in Taipei on Thursday, lambasting China’s latest moves to isolate the island.

“This is ironic,” Huang said. “This is not something that a country which stands for peace and democracy should do, cut ties with its partner of 60 years.”

Costa Rica President Oscar Arias said he made the decision in recognition of China’s growing economic stature. “It is an act of elemental realism,” he told a news conference in San Jose.

China’s Foreign Ministry said the agreement to switch ties was signed by Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and his Costa Rican counterpart in Beijing on June 1.

“The governments of the two countries agree to exchange ambassadors and set up embassies as soon as possible,” China’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its Web site (www.fmprc.gov.cn).

“Forming diplomatic relations between China and Costa Rica is in the interest of both peoples,” ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told a news conference, adding that China was willing to establish relations with other countries in the region that now recognize Taiwan.

She urged those countries to “follow the tide of history and make the correct choice”.

China and Taiwan have faced off since defeated Nationalist forces fled to the island at the end of a civil war in 1949. Beijing leaders have maintained that self-ruled, democratic Taiwan is part of its territory rather than a separate country -- the “one China” policy.

Premium Blue Protective Tape

Our NEW Premium Blue Protective Tape was designed for those who need a tape that will be able to out last the African sun and still be affordable and without compromise. Our new Premium Blue Protective Tape definitely compliments our range of Protection Tapes and offers one of the best adhesive systems and an extra strong UV stable blue PE film which will protect against scratches as well as from plaster and cement, paint and other contaminants which could cause damage to your products.Get more news about Blue Protection Tape, you can vist our website!

Function
PROTEK™ brand surface protection tapes and films shield surfaces from dirt, scratches, tool marks, and more. Our easy-peel surface protection tapes and masking films also guard delicate finishes, like metal and glass, from UV rays, stucco, and other surface contaminants. Use our line of temporary protection films during construction, demolition, installations, handling and transport.

Application
LAMATEK Surface Protection Films are easy to apply and remove cleanly when your project is finished. Just unroll the film and smooth it over the surface you want to protect. Make sure your substrate (the surface you’re sticking it to) is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, oil, or debris before you apply the film. Dirty or dusty surfaces will not allow the adhesive to bond properly and then the tape may not stick.
Put-up
LAMATEK’s masking films are cut into rolls on a 3” core tube. We’ll even custom cut it to your specific custom width.

Finding Your Match
Each PROTEK™ surface protection product is compatible with a specific set of materials and finishes so we do recommend that you test the film in your application. This is especially important with unknown or uncommon substrates.

Expanding Tubes In Heat Exchangers

Before you can start rolling, you will need to select the right expander for the job. Tube OD, and Wall/BWG will determine the size of the expander. However, there are some other factors to consider, such as tube projection, roll length, reach requirements, space constraints, and whether it’s minimum or average wall tubing.Get more news about Condenser Expansion Machine, you can vist our website!

Tube Projection
It’s important to consider if the tube is going to be expanded flush to the tube sheet or if it will have a projection. The most common tube projection for shell and tube heat exchangers is 1/8” from the tube sheet. In situations where all tubes will be rolled to the same projection, an expander with a recess collar should be used. This will accommodate the projection and prevent the tube from being pulled into the expander. The outlet side of surface steam condensers can have varying projections, up to 1X’s the tube diameter in length. In this case a telescoping or full recess collar should be used. If no tube projection is specified, the tube expander will come with a flush collar to expand the tube flush to the tube sheet.

Roll Length
Tube expanders come in two different roll lengths: short and long roll. In order to determine the correct roll length, you will need to know the tube sheet thickness. Choose the roll length that will expand the tube sheet area in the least amount of expansions. If expanding tubes in a double tube sheet, the inner primary tube sheet thickness must be specified so the expander’s rolls can be manufactured to allow for the proper effective expansion length. Whereas, the outer tube sheet would use standard rolls.
Reach Requirements
Generally, tube expanders come in 4”, 8”, 12”, and 18” reaches, but can be made longer to accommodate specific applications. For optimum tool life, use the shortest reach expander that will accommodate the application. Long reach expanders are used in heat exchangers with thick tube sheets or when reaching through water boxes, found in air coolers.

Space Constraints
Heat exchangers with channel boxes or division plates where the tubes are positioned too close to a wall for the expander’s collar to access perimeter tubes will require a friction collar. This collar is smaller in diameter than a standard collar, allowing more access to difficult areas. A friction collar should only be used as needed, as it’s not a replacement for a bearing collar.

Average Wall v Minimum Wall
When ordering tubes, it is very unlikely that each tube wall thickness will be exactly the same. Industry tolerances allow for ±10% thickness. That’s a total variation of up to 20% from the smallest to largest thickness, resulting in a wide range of sizes. For example, if you have .083” average wall tubes, the actual wall could be anywhere between .091” and .075”. If you were to buy a 14 BWG expander to fit .083, it would likely still work for either extreme due to the expansion range that the tool is capable of achieving.
A min wall tube offers the same total variation in wall thickness that an average wall tube does, but the variation is applied differently. It allows for -0% and +20%. So the wall will never be less than the specified thickness. For example, a .083” min wall tube will range from .083” to .100” wall thickness.

At the upper end of that range, a normally sized tube expander will not have enough clearance to enter the tube. If you have min wall tubing, it is recommended that you drop down one expander size. So instead of ordering a 14 BWG expander, you would drop down to a 13 BWG. This ensures that the expander will fit inside of the tubes and still achieve the proper range of expansion.

Setting Up A Condenser Expander
Once the right tool has been selected, the tube expander’s collar will need to be set to the correct roll depth. Generally, you want to set the rolls 1/16” to 1/8” from the back of the tube sheet. This will ensure that the tool does not roll beyond the tube sheet. Simply, loosen the set screw on the collar, adjust the collar threads to the desired roll depth, and tighten the set screw on the expander’s cage flat. This will allow the expander to be adjusted to other depths if necessary.

Choosing the Right Vinyl

How to compare cast vs calendered film in terms that are clear enough to make good purchasing decisions but not so Technical that you would fall asleep before figuring it out? Still awake? I swear no more mention of the “T” word.Get more news about vinyl film, you can vist our website!

Think of it this way; time in the sun is never your friend when you happen to be a material that was chosen for cost rather than durability. Think of those tourist shop umbrellas that are sun-bleached after one season and end up splitting at the seams by season two.

This is the same thing – the sun shade and vinyl are meant to handle many common or short-term applications but they get wrongly used. Then, they are accused of being cheap when they fade, fail or fall apart. When it comes to tougher applications over a longer warranty it pays to buy the right materials in the first place then have to replace them later. As anyone who has had the pleasure of “redoing” vinyl graphics knows the lowest cost involved is the vinyl itself. Removal of cracked or brittle film and the very bad rap that lands directly on the sign shop are far more expensive than your vinyl investment.

There are far too many specific details having to do with vinyl and the makeup of vinyl I can cover but I’ll stick with the primary decision points. The very names given to these two types of vinyl film (cast or calendered) can tell us a lot about their best application. Cast film is produced by first turning the ingredients of the finished film; PVC resin, plasticizer, colorant, etc. into paint by the use of a solvent. When matte, semi-gloss or high gloss vinyl is required then the mold film will be a mirror of that texture. The thin wet colored, clear or white vinyl film is then dried and cured at a rather high temperature to form a very flexible film. There are many connections between the ingredients that are bonded via process temperatures far higher than any application will experience. Now we can see why cast film can take so much distortion, heat abuse (such as that in thermoforming a sign face) and sun energy without losing its flexibility and cracking, fading or popping away from curves or tight corners such that are encountered in vehicle wraps.
Calendered film is not made through the paint casting method but instead through a “melt” process which involves the same type of ingredients as cast film. Instead of being carried through a coating unit onto a mold and then drying into a thin film of about 2 mils (50 microns), calendering first melts the ingredients at about half the temperature used to fuse cast film ingredients. As it cools the molten PVC is rolled through “calendering” rollers to achieve the final width, thickness and surface finish before being wound up for further processing.

This results in a film that doesn’t quite have a resistance to the wide range of sign making processes (such as thermoforming), applications (such as south facing dark sign faces) or environments (from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Saint Paul Minnesota). Long-term signage and its associated colors will need to stand up to all of these elements without fading, cracking or peeling away.

So the next time you see some junior member of a competitive sign shop removing a prematurely crippled sign or wrap and reinstalling what can only be a “redo”; most likely you will see that little thought bubble above his head saying, “How did this happen?”, well, you’ll know the answer!
