When accessing it while actively watching a channel via the down button, an improved channel guide will be visible that should make it easier to find what you need, though we haven’t had the chance to test the feature yet.

FuboTV also notes that this update optimizes certain channels and will see less buffering when reloading media. That kind of improvement is always welcome.

FuboTV version 5.4.0 is available now on Google TV and Android TV. If the app isn’t updated, you should be able to find the update waiting in the Play Store.

We’re excited to let you know that a new update to Fubo’s Fire TV, Android TV, and Google TV apps (v5.6) is rolling out now and through the weekend.  We continue to listen to your feedback, update features, and fix bugs as quickly as possible. I believe this update, and the previous updates, address almost all of the Android TV and FireTV issues that you have reported here.

Here’s what’s new in the v5.6 Fire/Android/Google TV apps, including some updates from v5.5, which I didn’t announce previously:

The Guide

• Added thumbnail images for the currently playing program on every channel.
• Program titles now scroll as you navigate to the right in the guide.

My Stuff / Recordings

• Added “Delete Recording” button for individual recordings (it was previously contained under the “Recording Options” menu). Note that this is also fixed in the Roku app now as well.

Video Playback 

• The subtitles (closed captioning) on/off setting will now persist across all channel changes and program changes.
• Fixed bugs that affected video playback, channel changing, and app crashes.

Windows Hello uses biometrics to identify and authenticate users. Biometrics analyze and measure specific, unique human characteristics as an extremely secure way to identify someone. For instance, not even identical twins share identical fingerprints. Microsoft Hello technology utilizes these distinct identifiers for authentication.

Windows 11 and Windows 10 offer several login methods, including these three Windows Hello options:

• Facial recognition uses a specially-configured camera to authenticate and unlock Windows devices.
• Fingerprint recognition scans your fingerprint.
• PIN is an alternative password that's tied to the device.

1. Type hello into the search box, then select Open under Set up face sign-in.

2. On Windows 11, select Facial recognition (Windows Hello) > Set up.

   If you have already set up a PIN, you must enter it to continue setup.

4. Make sure your face is centered in the frame and complete the setup.

If you have a fingerprint reader installed, you can use the biometric fingerprint option to sign in to Windows.

1. Type fingerprint into the Windows search box, then select Open under Set up fingerprint sign-in.

2. On Windows 11, select Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello) > Set up.

   On Windows 10, select Windows Fingerprint > Set up.

3. Select Get started.

   If you have already set up a PIN, you must enter it to continue setup.

4. Scan your finger on the fingerprint reader and complete the setup.

A PIN you create provides a secure backup login option. It's also a secure and fast option if facial or fingerprint recognition aren't available on your computer.

1. Type sign in into the search box, then select Open under Sign-in options.

2. On Windows 11, choose PIN (Windows Hello), then select Set up.

   On Windows 10, choose Add under the PIN heading.

3. Verify your account password if prompted, then create the PIN and press OK.

Follow these steps to change or create a PIN for your PC on Windows 11:

1. Open Windows Settings. Right-click the Start menu in the taskbar, select Settings, or press the Windows key+ i.

2. Select Accounts on the left side, then select Sign-in options on the right side of the screen.

3. Select PIN (Windows Hello).

4. Select Change PIN.

   If you've never set up a PIN before, you'll see Set Up instead of Change PIN.

5. Enter your old PIN, then enter a new PIN twice and select OK.

   Select Include letters and symbols to create a strong password for your computer.

A four to six-digit numerical PIN is easier to remember and quicker to use than a long password. Windows stores your PIN and other Windows Hello security data offline on the system hardware, which makes it difficult for hackers to crack or spoof.

Since PINs are device-specific, it doesn't matter if someone else knows your PIN if they can't physically access your device. Using a PIN rather than your www.microsoft.com /link account password to secure your computer allows others to access your device without giving them full access to your Microsoft account.

You can also use Windows Hello to set up biometric security, such as facial and fingerprint recognition.

If you can't remember your PIN, select I forgot my PIN or Sign-in options on the login screen to sign in using your Microsoft account password. If you're already logged in, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > PIN (Windows Hello) > I forgot my PIN.

Logging in with your Microsoft account requires internet access and a verification code sent to your email.

You only need to change your PIN if you're worried someone who has physical access to your device knows your PIN. For example, if you have a laptop at home that you use for work, you might want to protect it with a PIN so your kids don't use it.

Your PIN can't be hacked remotely, so you don't need to worry about changing it regularly or making it long and complicated like you would an online password. That said, don't make it something super obvious, like your birthdate or graduation year.

It's equally important to keep your Microsoft account secure since anyone can circumvent the device PIN if they know your Microsoft account password.

Peacock's December 2023 slate of new projects didn't include the summer hit Oppenheimer, leaving many to wonder when it will make its streaming debut.

Although Oppenheimer became available for online purchase on November 21 following its July 14 theatrical debut, its streaming plan continues to elude fans.

Peacock shared its December 2023 streaming schedule which omitted Oppenheimer the same way it did in November and October.

December 2023 releases include The Exorcist: Believer, both Ace Ventura movies, Jumanji, and Pitch Perfect, all of which first came to Peacock on December 1 with dozens of new movies and TV shows arriving before the year's end.

While Oppenheimer wasn't part of Peacock's initial December release slate, there's still a chance that it could hit the streaming service sometime this month, as the streamer doesn't always include its high-profile movies on its upcoming schedule if that film's release is set for later in the month.

The film already broke the record for the longest theatrical-to-streaming window for any Universal-distributed film, with 141 days now having passed since Oppenheimer first came to theaters in July.

Previously, that record was held by 2023's The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which had a 120-day theatrical-to-streaming window as it became the second-highest-grossing movie of the year at the global box office behind only Barbie.

Oppenheimer was a huge hit for director Christopher Nolan as it took third place in the global box office rankings for 2023, coming within striking distance of becoming the year's third billion-dollar earner.

Taking that into account, it's not shocking that Universal wanted to milk as much as it possibly could out of the film's box office potential, and it appears that the studio could be willing to push that release into next year.

The last update from the Peacock.com/tv Care X page in late November revealed that no news was available on Oppenheimer hitting the streaming site, indicating that a January 2024 debut isn't out of the question.

However, Universal and Peacock are known to sometimes hold out on announcements for releases until the month they arrive, meaning that Oppenheimer may not be as far out as some are expecting.

The studio may opt for a 150-day timeframe between Oppenheimer's theatrical and streaming debuts, which would mean that the film would hit Peacock on December 18.

This would also be only three months ahead of the 2024 Academy Awards, and Universal will surely be hoping that a run of successful streaming run will help bolster the film's chances of succeeding on the awards circuit as well.
