"Can BOTOX Make Me Look Younger?"

Patients come to our Lenexa practice to get aesthetic treatments. We asked Dr. Margolin to share his thoughts with patients who might have unrealistic expectations of aesthetic treatments. Dr. Margolin told us that he is an M.D. and not a magician. It's normal for people to want their best. Everybody wants to feel and look their best. BOTOX and other aesthetic treatments may temporarily reduce wrinkles and lines, but they won't transform them into the supermodels of their youth.

What can Aesthetic injectable treatments do?

Dr. Margolin compares the process of aging skin to folding a piece paper. You can fold a piece of paper in many different ways for decades and get permanent wrinkles. This is what happens with our skin. BOTOX or JUVEDERM are injectable treatments that temporarily reduce wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles, filling in specific areas, and temporary reducing the appearance of signs of aging.

What is BOTOX and How Does It Work?

This treatment reduces wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles. However, it's not as dramatic or as drastic as plastic surgeons. BOTOX is a treatment that can be used to reduce the appearance of forehead lines or eyebrow creases. BOTOX reduces the appearance and texture of lines, as well as preventing them from creasing your skin. BOTOX can't treat wrinkles and lines caused due to loss of facial fullness. We use JUVEDERM dermal fillers to address these issues.

What is JUVEDERM?

Although it might seem contrary, the skin loses fat, especially in the cheek area. As we age, our faces become thinner and more saggy. This leads to wrinkles such as laugh lines and loss of volume.

The injectable fillers also known as dermal fillers can be used to increase facial volume. JUVEDERM is a type of filler made from a hyaluronic. It adds volume to the cheeks and restores a youthful look. JUVEDERM can also be used for plumping up lips. As we age, our lips become less full. JUVEDERM dermalfiller is also used to get rid of dark circles around the eyes. For some patients, it can have a dramatic impact on their overall appearance.

Dr. Margolin has some advice

Dr. Margolin of Physician Aesthetics tells patients that JUVEDERM, BOTOX, and JUVEDERM will make them look "just like you", but with less noticeable lines. Difference between JUVEDERM and There is a difference between JUVEDERM & BOTOX

What is the difference between Juvederm & BOTOX? Both therapies are aimed at the same outcome, but have different active components. These non-invasive injections can be administered by a physician to the patients. or an experienced medical esthetician. Make the best decision possible by learning about these distinctions

BOTOX

BOTOX, a non-invasive wrinkle treatment, is also available. However it is made with very different ingredients. BOTOX injections, a neurotoxin, relaxes and softens the appearance of wrinkles and lines. BOTOX can smoothen wrinkles and smoothen lines.

Vertical lines running between the eyebrows are known as "glabellarlines"

Wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet).

The forehead wrinkles

Juvederm

Juvederm, a non-invasive procedure that doesn't require surgery, is a treatment that is not invasive. To "fill in" the under-eye wrinkles, each solution includes a gel made from Hyaluronic Acid. Different types of volumizing solutions are available to adults in various formulations. They can be used to treat different types of wrinkles.

Juvederm XC for lips & mouth, with "parentheses", lines

Juvederm VolbellaXC for adding volume and lip lines

Juvederm VollureXC, for "parentheses", lines outlining your mouth and nose

Juvederm Voluma XC - for adding volume and shape to the cheeks

JuvedermXC for the treatment of "parentheses", as well as any other lines around the nose or mouth.

What to Expect from BOTOX Treatments and Juvederm Therapy

Both Juvederm or BOTOX treatments take just a few minutes and are extremely efficient. Because there are more injections, it is possible that larger areas of skin will require more treatment.

How long each treatment can last

While both treatments can be effective, Juvederm lasts longer and works faster. BOTOX can be used for just a few days. The effects will fade in a few months. Additional treatments are necessary to maintain your results. Juvederm Filler Injections can be seen as soon as possible, according to the manufacturer.

BOTOX injections (like Juvederm) are quick and painless. The larger the area that you require, the more injectables you will need. Multiple injections may take slightly longer to complete. Results from BOTOX treatments for wrinkles can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours.

The Results of Treatments

These are the main differences in the outcomes of each therapy. Juvederm injectables may have visible effects immediately. Although one-to two years is predicted for the time when one's Juvederm injectables will have an effect on one's body, individual results can differ. Long-term effects can vary significantly between formulations. BOTOX treatments are fast but should be administered every four to six months.

Costs

The following factors can affect the final cost of Juvederm and Botox treatments:

Area to be treated

How many injections will you need?

How often will you need to return to the clinic for follow-up injections? Wherever you live

The appearance of facial wrinkles is part and parcel of aging. However, they are treatable. Kansas City's Physician Aesthetic Specialists can help reduce wrinkles and fine lines in various parts of the face.

Reduce visible signs of aging. The best way to reduce fine lines and wrinkles is without surgery. As you age you might notice fine lines and wrinkles appearing on the skin. Most people are first aware of wrinkles around their eyes or around the mouth.

With age, skin becomes less elastic, thinner, and more prone to damage from external factors like stress, sun exposure, and repeated facial expressions. Poor hydration can accelerate skin aging.

Non-surgical treatments are available that look natural and can be used to treat visible signs.

Treatments for wrinkle reduction. Juvederm(r). Juvederm (r) is a skin treatment that stimulates collagen production. It also reduces the appearance and depth of wrinkles. Juvederm results typically last for about one year.

Botox (r) is an effective and quick method to smoothen the lines around the eyes. Botox helps to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles.

Anti-Aging Care for Skin. Our advanced skin care products have been specifically formulated to combat and prevent visible signs that can be caused by aging. You will see results using a combination natural ingredients and medical-grade substances.

Conditions We Treat. Kansas City physician aesthetic specialists treat a wide range of conditions related aging and aesthetics.

Resolvable Conditions Wrinkles. We offer a variety of non-surgical treatments that reduce the appearance and severity of wrinkles.

The loss of collagen and elasticin, which naturally happens with age, causes cheek volume loss. Facial Volume Loss Treatments can restore a youthful, natural look. Double chin. Submental fullness is also known as a double chin. This happens when excess fat builds up beneath the chin. We offer nonsurgical options to reduce the appearance and size of double chins.

There are many other treatments. Face Jowls. One of the reasons that people look older is a loss of facial volume. We begin to notice the effects that gravity has on the facial areas like the jowls. The chin. Thin Lips. Lip enhancement can dramatically improve the appearance of the whole face. You can achieve a youthful, refreshed appearance by adding volume to your lips. Migraine Headaches. Dr. Margolin can prescribe BOTOX injections to relieve chronic migraine headaches. You may be able to benefit from BOTOX injections if you suffer from migraine attacks at least 15 days per month.

Give yourself a more youthful, vibrant appearance. You can reverse the effects of aging and prevent them from happening with non-surgical treatment.

Our skin can start to age as young as twenty-five. Natural aging, which is mostly controlled by genes, can lead to visible lines on our faces, loss in facial volume and thinner skin. However, there are many factors that can make us look older than actually we are, including sun exposure, smoking, diet, alcohol and lifestyle.

It is possible, with a little bit of effort, to slow down the signs of aging as well as improve the skin’s texture, tone, appearance, and overall appearance. Non-surgical treatments are quick and painless, with little to no discomfort. There is also a very low risk of adverse reactions. Additionally, every procedure is performed by an experienced surgeon so you can be sure to receive the best possible care.
