IAS officer Shubham Gupta, who serves as the Municipal Commissioner in Maharashtra, has gained widespread recognition for his sustainable initiative: visiting cards that can be planted to grow marigolds. His idea, shared on social media, attracted around 732,000 views and positive feedback. Shubham Gupta IAS has demonstrated that public administration can champion environmental responsibility by reducing the waste from traditional visiting cards while also fostering community engagement through the involvement of tribal women in the card-making process.
