The election manifesto of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPM declares that if the party comes to power at the centre, it will dismantle India’s nuclear weapon programme, according to the latest news in Hindi and other media outlets. To an uneducated or semi-educated Indian who does not even know what a nuclear weapon is, such a declaration in the CPM manifesto might not mean anything but to a normal educated Indian, that would be alarming!

Such a person will not touch the CPM even with a bargepole let alone vote for them. The term “normal” educated person is being used here to specifically distinguish them from a fringe group of abnormal educated persons who identify themselves as communists and are best known for causing a lot of noise, cacophony and nuisance in society.

It is another thing that the CPM or any other communist outfit in India cannot even win a state election and so coming to power at the centre is like living in a fantasy land of their weird imaginations. According to many observers covering today news Hindi, the CPM will struggle to get even one seat in this election and the party leadership knows it well.

Congress is being heavily infiltrated by communists

What is troubling here is that a lot of communists are infiltrating into other parties mainly the Congress and this party despite being in decline, still enjoys a significant 20% support of the people.

Again, a very large segment of those who support the Congress clearly are not in a position to understand the controversies that surround this party. That could be due to illiteracy or merely primary school level education among its followers although there could be exceptions to the rule here.

Going by the opinion of most observers in the latest news in Hindi and other channels, the Congress will struggle to retain even the number of seats it has in the current Lok Sabha.

However, this does not answer the question — what about the Congress party’s alliance with the CPM and what about the communists that have joined Congress and have succeeded in influencing Rahul Gandhi? In the Congress today, whoever controls Rahul Gandhi, controls the party’s agenda and narrative.

Like the communists, the Congress follows dictates from abroad

Those who follow western mainstream media, especially those from the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, know very well the narrative that is prevalent there. A large part of the narrative is to raise the hyperbole — “democracy is under pressure in India under the BJP”.

As per the latest news in Hindi and other outlets, the main narrative of the Congress and other opposition parties is, “Save democracy”, “BJP will change the constitution; so stop them from coming to power”.

It’s easy to see that the Congress and its allies are saying the same nonsense about the danger to democracy in India that the western media keeps saying.

Regarding the Congress narrative that the BJP will change the constitution if it comes to power, let us see what exactly is a change in the constitution? Certain articles of the constitution can be changed or modified by way of amendments.

Now, here is the interesting part; from the day the constitution was adopted, there were a total of 104 amendments and 98 of these amendments were done by the Congress! The same Congress is trying to scare people by saying that the “BJP will change the constitution if it comes to power”.

Chinese involvement in driving a fake narrative is also under way and the communist government of China is investing heavily towards that end. The whole country including those who vote for the Congress know that this party had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) but nobody knows the content of that MoU.

It is time that more questions are asked of the Congress about the similarity of its narrative and those of the western media, as well as the content of the MoU it signed with the CCP.

Legal Battle Royale: Kejriwal's Chief Minister Position at Stake

Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, who is in judicial custody following his arrest on 21 March 2024, has stated more than once that he intends to continue operating as chief minister from jail. This statement by Kejriwal reported by all the latest Hindi news and other media outlets has apparently not gone down well with many people.

One such person is Vishnu Gupta, who heads an organization named Hindu Sena, which has been around since 2011. Incidentally, Gupta is also a party on behalf of the Hindu side in the Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah case in Mathura. He has filed a petition demanding removal of the CM from the post after his arrest in the liquor policy scam but Delhi High Court has refused to hear the petition.

The High Court has clearly said that whether to step down from the post or not is the ‘personal decision’ of Kejriwal. The High Court said that sometimes national interest has to be given priority over personal interest. Petitioner Vishnu Gupta has been shocked by this decision of the High Court as per top Hindi news media and others.

Although the Delhi High Court has refused to hear Gupta’s petition for the removal of Kejriwal from the post of chief minister, a large number of people including individual members of some opposition parties believe that Kejriwal is setting the wrong precedent by refusing to step down voluntarily. The latest Hindi news and other news sources have also reported that there is growing unease about Kejriwal’s decision among many people.

Vishnu Gupta has already been in the news for several issues. In 2015 he was detained by the Delhi Police for filing a false complaint about beef being served in the Kerala House canteen. Apart from this, in 2021, he has been arrested for vandalizing the office of Pakistan International Airlines and this was reported widely by top Hindi news media outlets as well as others.

Earlier this year in February, Gupta received a threatening letter along with three bullets intended to threaten him with dire consequences if he did not withdraw the Krishna Janmabhoomi case but he remained unperturbed. According to the latest Hindi news and other outlets, he had filed a case in this matter at Madhu Vihar police station and has remained unperturbed by the threat to his life.

Then there was a demand from the Hindu Sena President to ban PFI in the year 2022, which obviously has already happened as the current government has already done so in that very year. The name of Hindu Sena had also come up in blackening the road signage of Babar Road in Delhi. A poster of Ayodhya Road was put up on Babar Road by the Hindu Army.

In the year 2023, a petition was filed in the Delhi High Court by the Hindu Sena demanding a ban on the film Adipurush. As per the latest Hindi news at that time, the court had refused to hear the petition immediately. At the same time, in the same year, Gupta had filed a PIL in the Supreme Court against those who gave hate speeches on Sanatan Dharma and Shri Ram Temple and Kashi Mathura.

It remains to be seen what Vishnu Gupta intends to do now since the Delhi High Court has rejected his petition. He has the option to file the same petition at the Supreme Court but it is likely that the Supreme Court will uphold the Delhi High Court’s decision since the judiciary does not want to get involved with this matter.
