Booking.com Gift Cards American visitors to Booking.com have caught up with their European counterparts and can now find and buy air tickets.The addition of flights to the traditionally accommodation-led service in the U.S. comes 12 months on from the introduction of a flights tab on a number of country versions of Booking.com across the Atlantic Ocean.In contrast to a number of countries in Europe such as the U.K. where users are sent to a third-party provider to carry out a large swathe of the process search booking and payment of tickets is done fully on Booking.com for U.S. customers.
Booking.com is turning off its BookingSuite array of tools and services for accommodation providers.The company says the WebDirect Where to buy Booking.com Gift Cards BookingButton RateIntelligence and ChoicePro products will be discontinued starting on November 30 of this year.The app store element of the product will remain but Booking.com will end support for the platforms because it wants to "continue to deploy resources toward our core business and invest in our long-term strategy."An official says: "We remain committed to being a global leader in travel focused on growing our core accommodations business and delivering on our long-term strategy to bring more personalized products and experiences to our customers across every part of their travel journey.
Booking.com one of Europe’s few tech giants has hit out at EU plans to regulate it as a “gatekeeper” in the hotels market warning that efforts to “handcuff” it will give an advantage to foreign rivals and hurt the bloc’s tech industry. The backlash from the online travel platform comes as Brussels is preparing sweeping legislation to curb the market dominance of Big Tech including plans to impose more stringent rules on up to 20 of the largest companies.
