Riot Games announced League of Legends: Wild Rift little while ago and it is mobile and console spin-off of the PC title League of Legends. Now, the studio has released a development diary that dive into the gameplay of League of Legends: Wild Rift. Additionally, Riot Games confirms that there will be a limited Android alpha of the game in Brazil and the Philippines.

The game will be free to play titles and it is not a direct port of the PC version of League of Legends. Instead, Wild Rift has been developed from scratch and will have differences include refreshed models and animations. This means that there will be no crossplay between PC version of League of Legends and Wild Rift on mobile phones and consoles. However, two versions of the game will likely share themes and events are added to the game by Riot Games.

Although wild Rift should feel very familiar to long LoL-players, unrest has decided to change some aspects of the game for mobile phones. One of the changes will be a smaller map to increase the pace of the game in the Wild Rift. The mobile version also removed inhibitors and communications tower. Instead Super waiter will spawn after dropping inhibitor communications tower while the opponent will now attack enemy players. When it announced the game last fall, riot went out of his way to point out wild Rift is not a port of the PC version of League of Legends. The studio said it was developed "the whole game from the beginning." We know wild Rift will feature matches faster than its PC counterpart. It also will display-friendly control scheme thumb and a list of about 40 characters that can be played on release, with more to follow.

Wild Rift is just one of the releases Riot has planned for what’s shaping up to be a busy year for the one-time single-game studio. In less than a week, the first-person tactical shooter Valorant will be officially available for anyone who wants to play it.
