Following are the quick methods in order to troubleshoot
QuickBooks payroll error 15215:

Restart the computer.
·
Restarting will shut down the application that
protects QB Payroll.
·
If the problem doesn’t resolve, check whether a
program is running on the system.
·
If a program is running, follow the steps below.
·
Ensure that QuickBooks is closed.
·
Go to Desktop.
·
Click on ‘Run as Administrator’ option
·
Click Yes as you see the following message: ‘Do
you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?’
·
Shut down ‘QuickBooks’ application.
·
Open ‘Internet Explorer’ browser.
·
Go to ‘Tools’ > Internet Option
·
Click on ‘Advanced’ tab.
·
In the Advanced Settings tab, search for option
‘Use TLS 1.0, Use TLS 1.1 and Use TLS 1.2’.
·
Check if Use TLS 1.0 is marked.
·
Confirm that Use TLS 1.1 and Use TL 1.2
are not checked.
·
Turn off the QuickBooks application.
·
Run Windows in the computer.

For Windows XP: Click Start > Run

For Windows 7 & Vista: Click
Start> All Programs > Accessories > Run

For Windows 8 & 10: Press Windows + R
keys.

In the dialog box of Run, type misconfig
and click OK.

Open ‘System Configuration Utility’
window.
·
In the page, select ‘Selective Startup’
and clear ‘Load Startup’.
·
Click Ok to save the modifications.
·
Reopen QuickBooks, open latest updated tax
table.
·
When the update is downloaded successfully,
follow the steps 1 to 4 and go back to ‘System Configuration Utility’.
·
Choose ‘Normal Startup’ tab.
·
Click Ok.
·
Restart the system.
·
Update
QuickBooks to the latest release.
·
Select the product.
·
Click ‘Change Option’ and choose ‘QuickBooks
Product’
·
Click ‘Update’ and save the file at
desired location.
·
Click ‘Save”.
·
Double-click ‘Install the update’ option.
·
Restart Windows once the installation is
completed.
·
Open QuickBooks to check the latest update.
